List the contents contained within the axilla

Axillary artery, axillary vein, brachial plexus, tendons of biceps brachii, corocobrachialis, lymphatic vessels

What must you bear in mind with the axillary lymph nodes?

That 75% of the lymph from the breast drains there TF if breast cancer is found, check/sample lymph nodes as they could show it has spread

When are the contents of the axilla more vulnerable?

During complete abduction of the the arm

Provide region/passage for the vessels, nerves etc to reach limb
