Objective evidence of a disease, such as fever ( can be evaluated or measured by the patient or others)

Symptom
A set of signs and symptomes that occur toghether as part of a disease process
Syndrome
The identification of a disease
Diagnosis
Also known as a rule out, is an attempt to determine which one of several possible diseases is causing the signs and symptomes.
Differential Diagnosis
A prediction of the prossible course and outcomes of a disease
Prognosis
Has a rapid onset, a severe course, and relitively short duration
Acute
Long duration. Diseases can be controlled but rarely cured
Chronic
Temporary, partial, or complete disappearance of the symptoms of a disease without having acheived a cure
Remission
