The following sentances use superlatives

Translate from French to English the following examples

Remeber when using a superlative, ….plus becomes **the most **

There are a couple of irregular comparison words in French:

meilleur / meilleure / meilleurs / meilleures que

→ better than

pire / pires que

→ worse than

le meilleur / la meilleure / les meilleur(e)s

→ the best

le pire / la pire / les pires

→ the worst

*Note that both meilleur and pire agree in gender and number with the noun they describe

Here are some examples:

Le forum des Halles est meilleur que le Printemps. - The forum des Halles is better than the Printemps (they are both shops)

Quelle est la meilleure boulangerie? - What is the best bakery?

Ce magasin offre les pires rabais. - This shop offers the worst discounts.
