Illegal physical contact with an opponent.
What is a technical foul?
Violation of conduct rules (e.g. arguing with referees).
What is a flagrant foul?
Excessive or violent contact.
How many team fouls lead to free throws?
Usually 5 fouls per quarter.
What is a charge?
When an offensive player runs into a set defender.
What is a block (defensive foul)?
When a defender makes illegal contact without being set.
What is goal-tending?
Touching the ball on its downward flight to the hoop.
What is an assist?
A pass that leads directly to a basket.
