Describe the Battle of Naseby in six steps.

A

1 - Royalist advance - to meet the New model army
2 - New Model Army cavalry break and flee, chased by Royalist cavalry, who then attack a baggage train.
3 - New Model centre first line breaks, second holds but is losing ground.
4 - East Royalist cavalry breaks and fleses, Cromwell only sends FIRST line to pursue.
5 - Cromwell attacks the flank and rear of the Royalist centre, Fairfax joins with him and the Royalist foot surrender and retreat!
6 - Rupert returns to the battlefield (see step 2) and joins King Charles. Fairfax advances with the New Model Army, the Royalist cavalry flee, the rest of the infantry surrender.
