Q

Do you think you are well-organized?

A

Having worked as a professional sales agent during my past college years, I know how important it is to methodically organize everything.

One missed task can hamper the whole schedule of a project. There are hundreds of things to keep in mind while planning and running a project for a client such as stakeholder’s requirements, information about the customer segmentation, and customer data, so I am well versed with the need to be organized.

But, given the kind of changes which clients may come up with when they are running a project, it is also important to have that window of flexibility open even for the last minute changes.

So, I know how to draw the line between keeping every detail handy, organizing the different sub-details of the project, and accommodating those urgent requests and last minutes changes as well.

Q

Are you a person or a lone wolf?
= teamwork
= (you are an introvert or extrovert?)

A

I personally believe that it is important to work with a team as it helps you leverage the most out of any situation. However, if sometimes the situation demands me to work individually, I do not have any qualms about it. My focus mainly is to bring a whole team together, collate the skills, and collaborate the work with others and then maximize the kind of output we can achieve.
I can work both individually and in a team. I prefer to stick to whatever seems to best match the company’s needs.

Q

How do you manage your time?

time management

A

In my previous job as an Audit Intern, time management is critical in meeting deadlines. During the planning phase of an audit, a budget is prepared, setting out the time for each of the auditing sections. The amount of financial documents we had to examine is enourmous under a time constraint and we usually had to participate in multiple project at the same time.
This is why I had to exhibit the best sense of time management because not only did I need to ensure that I was on time, but even the slightest delay at my end could lead to cumulative delay as all information on the financial statements is interrelated.
I am well acquainted with the dynamics of efficient time management because most projects are broken into smaller sub-tasks and a delay at one end causes the whole pipeline to be delayed which can have a deterring impact on the project.

[As I was exploring the details of Samsung (the one where you are applying for the job), I noticed that you have a strong incentive program for those who stick to their schedule and timelines.]

This is really inspiring and has given me the impetus (=motivation) to further sharpen my time management skills.

Q

What are your goals?

A

I believe that goal-getting is one of the important traits which every individual need to develop. It is with the right kind of goals that can get the drive to go ahead and approach my targets with a better vision. My goal primarily is to grow with the firm and not reach a stagnant point in my career.
[When I was researching about this firm, I found that your foreign language program is quite exciting. I know the importance of being billingual in today’s time.]
Also, along with serving my technical duties, my goal is to be involved in other activities that can help refine my career and give me a broader perspective. I want to be a part of the foreign language program and get well-versed in multiple languages so that If given a chance to work overseas, the communication barrier won’t be a hurdle for me.

Q

How would your friends describe you?

A

I believe that my friends would describe me as someone who takes great pride in the work she does. I am often perceived as a doer and at the same time, I relax during the weekends and being a people person , I like to hang out with both friends and family.
I remember taking the initiative to plan friends’ reunion on three occasions after all of us had gone haywire (=goes out of control) and were barely in touch with each other. It was owing to these reunions that we are all a whole lot connected now and all my friends still thank me for the initiative.

Q

What are you doing to achieve your goals?

A
I had always been a self-learner since the times I understood the importance of constantly obtaining new knowledge. It was during my college days that I started working part-time as a sales agent, I read a lot of scholarly psychology articles from top universites like Harvard, Yale and learned from the best sales trainer like Grant Cardon and Brian Tracy through books and seminar even though my English is horrible at that time. Since I wanted to truly understand the customer behaviours, become the best Sales Agent, and learn from the best person in the world, I accepted the uncomfortable feeling of using Google all the time to find out the meaning of new English words at the beginning of my English Learning Journey. I've never attended any English class but right now I can confidently communicate and enroll in many online courses from top 10 business school in the US including Yale, Wharton School, and Duke University.
As I applied for this position at this job, I know that you have a great international plan for employees who are bilingual and I am working towards my goal of achieving professional excellence.

Q

What is your greatest weekness?

A

I often find that the kind of energy which I invest in a project during the very start tends to diminish towards the end. I am a little skeptical that it often ends up leading to a lag in the way I finish my project. However, I don’t want my inability to stick to the same high pitch momentum become a hindrance to the smooth running of the project.
This is why I recently started reading self-helf books that have to do with improving attention span and even better work performance. I believe that if I could use my strength of accepting and improving my weakness it will surely help me out. I try to make a rough framework of the project, the step to be executed and even the deadline for tasks beforehand. This helps me plan out the subtask, deliverables, and deadlines in advance so that I don’t end up creating a lag.

Q

What is your biggest Strength?

A

As my previous company wasn’t very big, I was involved in more tasks than one. This gave me the ability to be versatile and despite being the Audit Intern, I worked with not only my team but many employees of the company that we come in to do the audit session. This helped me strengthen my skills of interaction and even the ability to work in a team to finish the tasks.
I am ready to walk the extra mile if it can add to the company’s growth and fasten the development process. I believe that the right foundation, even though tedious, can set the rest of the platform.

Q

Is there anything else we should know about you?

A

We all had the fire drill back in school so that should the need arise; we can put it to use. However, often when pandemonium breaks lose, We all tend to hit the panic button a bit too soon. I remember that we were still working our regular shift in my previous job when the fire alarm broke. Everyone started running and it was a scene of complete chaos.
While it wasn’t easy as my first instinct too was to run, I knew that someone had to take charge. I soon took charge of showing everyone the emergency fire exit and helped in evacuating the building. I asked the attendant to call security and the fire was soon brought under control. Even today, a lot of my colleagues appreciate my calmness under such intension situation.

Q

What was the last book you read?

A

I recently read a classic book wrriten around 2000 years ago called “on the shortness of life” by Seneca.
It’s a life-changing one and I really mean it on this one.
This book is all about how one can overcome the fear of death. It tells how precious the time is for an individual. The time is not the mysterious thing, it is just an unstoppable force. How people can try to find immortality in their deeds is subjected in Seneca’s writings. Seneca is a great thinker of all time. After reading his wise words, His thoughts kept going through my mind, making me stay up all night to really think about how wasteful I am with my time and truly take action to achieve my goals. Thanks to this book, I have the courage to overcome my fears and laziness to complete a really tough specialization about data analysis and achieve 910 TOEIC points in a matter of weeks.

17
Q

Do you work well under-pressure?

[NOT SATISIFY]

A

I have worked as a Sales Agent before. There was a lot pressure, my KPI is really high and the time interval for each project is tie. That’s the nature of this job, the client only hire a Sales Agent when they’re struggling with attracting new customers or they just get in the market and need to skyrocketly attracting a necessary amount of customer at the beginning. do the research about the market segmentation, find the leads by myself, and do a full sales circle to convert that leads to loyal customers . I need to do the research about the market segmentation, find the leads by myself, and do a full sales circle to convert that leads to loyal customers. While I

18
Q

Are you a self-starter?

A

Yes, I have always been a self-starter. I like to see a project, analyze the steps that have to be implemented, work on the different sub-details and then decide the right ways by which the action flow has to be set. In my previous job wherein I worked as a Sales Agent, I worked on freelance projects to attract customers for my client by myself and I used those project plans bringing great results to improve my portfolio and showcase my proficiency a great deal.

19
Q

What are your qualifications for this position?

A

As I mentioned in my resume, I pursued a degree in Auditing from Academy of Finance. I also earned a certificate from Duke University for completing a specialization called “From Exel to MySQL: Analytic techniques for Business”.
I am a fast self-studied learner and I am always looking to acquire new skills. During the time I worked as a Sales Agent, I have taken courses in Digital Marketing powered by Google, customer analytics and people analytics by the Wharton School to strengthen my ability in this Sales field.

Similarly, I am ready to take up extra classes and training for the subjects you want me to work on. I am sure that I will come across as competent and efficient enough for the job and live up to your expectations.

20
Q

Why have you had many jobs over one span of just a few years?

(why you don’t keep working in the Sales field?)

A

For a lot of years now, I have been working as a part-time freelancer to support my study at Academy of Finance. So, I ended up working for multiple clients. When I worked on a big project, I devote my undivided attention to it and then when the task finished, I move on to the next job. This is the reason for the long list of jobs on my resume. However, now I have reached that stage in my life where I yearn for a stable job so I don’t have to go looking for new clients every fortnight. The interpersonal skills I learned while working the different jobs will help me retain your existing clients and procure new ones should I get this job.

21
Q

Are you good at making decision?

A

Yes, I personally believe that I have a good decision-making skills because I make a point to weigh the impact of my decision and take all possible factors into the equation before making the final call.
In my college time, I had the idea of designing an E-Learning Program to help students overcome their fears of taking an oral exam in English for a subject with the highest failure rate called English for Finance 1. My Professor really supported me in term of content but the English department refused to finance my project at that time and I was not allowed to commercialize this program too.
I had to decide whether or not to continue this project.

After weighing all the factors, I decided that I would still create this program but reduce all unnecessary costs by do it all by myself in my spare time because of the great value this program can bring in for the community.
I only need to design this program once but thousands of students will benefit from it even after I graduate.
As I had perceived in the first semester; Over 100 students who willing to pay a small fee and using my program score 7 or above. After graduating, I decided to leave the program open to all students for free access and the number of students benefiting from this program continues to increase.

22
Q

Don’t you think you are overqualified for this job?

A

When I was studying the job board, I was really excited to apply to this post. This is mainly because I love conquering new challenges and trying out something new. I have noticed that you are just developing ……………

I want to test my limits, overcome the challenges and emerge successful. This is what urged me to opt for this job.

23
Q

Do you think co-workers should date one another?

A

While I believe that this depends on the people being involved, I personally do not have a great liking to office romance. I have often seen that people tend to go a little astray and an office romance tends to impact the project on various occasions. But as long as one can keep professional and personal life separate, it shouldn’t be a hindrance. Personally, It’s a no for me

24
Q

What did you like best/ least about your previous job?

A

I am the kind of person who likes to take the positives from any situation. So, I would like to share the positive about my previous job. As my intern in an auditing firm was my first corporate job, I didn’t really have a lot of business exposure and I didn’t know the corporate world inside out.
My last job taught me a lot about people interaction and how important it is to keep your personal and professional life separate. Further, my interaction with clients from different divisions of different companies taught me a great deal about how important it is to carefully choose the appropriate approach for each individual.

As your firm deals mostly with foreign clients, I am hopeful that I can carry forward the knowledge I gained and implement it to serve this firm better.

25
How do you handle difficult customers?
I stick to the logic that the customer is always right. In my previous job as a Sales Agent, I often came across clients who were just too difficult to deal with. However, the years of experience have taught me not to quarrel with them. As a firm, The main motive is to build a loyal customer base and having customers who are unhappy with the firm is definitely not a good thing. So, I make a point to listen to every complaint and query which customers have and sympathize with them. Sometimes, If it is possible under the company norms, I even try and give a little addition help to the client so as to keep him happy. This can often help in winning over difficult customers too.
26
How would your last boss describe you?
Working at ASA Auditing firm was a learning curve for me. My boss was the kind of guy who wanted every one to give their 110 percent. I have imbibed a lot of good skills from him, one of them being the constant passion and commitment to the job. I believe that if I ask him about me, he would list me as someone who was ready to put her job as her top priority. Yes, I have my own working ideals and sometimes I like to project my opinions and explain to them even if they are not in tandem with what the company follows. But, I believe that embracing the changes of tomorrow is the right way to grow rather than stick to old ideals and stagnance.
27
Do you know about our company's competitors?
Before coming for the interview, I spent a significant amount of time researching about the kind of work which this firm does. I found that recently you guys started....... This is an excellence initiative but X is the biggest name in this sector........This of course give them an upper edge. But then it is better to be late than never. I hope that being part of this team, I can leverage my knowledge about.................and in the years to come, we can surpass the kind of records which X has set.
28
Are you a competitive person? How do you deal with others who are competitive?
I am competitive but I don't see competition as something which I get on with the guys in the same team. I believe that competition is good as long as it is taken healthily. I try to foster the right kind of spirit in the team. In my earlier internship, we had various team activities wherein different teams exchanged the work they did and had to continue right from where the other left. This encouraged even unknown people to perceive how others work and often helped in healthy competition. I have seen some of the best challenges and competitions which you hold from time to time and they seem to truly excite me. I am sure it will foster the right kind of healthy competitive spirit among the employees.
