Fibroadenoma
Benign breast tumour consisting of stromal and epithelial cells
- Young women
- Well-defined mobile mass
Fibrocytic disease
Spectrum of conditions causing fibrous and/or cystic change within the breast
- Often benign
- Can increase risk of cancer if the lesion consists of epithelial hyperplasia
Intraductal papilloma
Benign tumour of the breast ducts
- Classically presents as bloody nipple discharge in a premenopausal women
Phyllodes tumour
Fibroepithelial tumour similar to fibroadenoma which is usually benign but can be malignant
- Characteristic LEAF-LIKE architecture on histology
Fat necrosis
Inflammation of adipose tissue often as a result of trauma
Mammary duct ectasia
Chronic inflammation and dilatation of subareolar ducts due to stasis of secretions
- Periareolar mass with green/brown nipple discharge in a postmenopausal woman
