What is the difference between the healed and the Pharisees?
The healed easily believe in Jesus but the Pharisees saw this as a challenge to authority and blasphemy.
In the story of the cleansing of the temple, how does Jesus respond to the merchants selling at the temple?
He angrily flips a table, showing his anger at the injustice.
What does Jesus’ weeping in the story of Lazarus represent?
It represents his humanity.
What is the significance of Lazarus dying and being resurrected?
It foreshadows Jesus’ own death and resurrection.
What is an Apostle?
Followers of Jesus that were handpicked by him.
What is a Disciple?
A person who personally decided to follow Jesus.
Why was Judas seeking out the Chief Priest for the betrayal of Jesus significant?
Because Judas is an apostle, the closest to Jesus, almost like a close friend.
What were they preparing for at the Last Supper?
The Passover.
What is the Passover?
A Jewish holiday when Israelites put lamb blood over their doors.
Who celebrates Passover and why?
Christians because the Last Supper is linked to the Eucharist.
Why don’t Jewish people celebrate Passover?
Because Jesus isn’t their ‘savior.’

Peter.
Whose feet does Jesus wash?
All of the Apostles, including Judas.
How is Jesus feeling in Agony in the Garden?
Extremely anxious and stressed, sweating and crying blood.
What does Jesus request from the Apostles while he prays?
He asks them to stay up with him, but they fall asleep.
Why is Jesus arrested?
For blasphemy, claiming to be able to rebuild the temple in three days.
What does Judas do to Jesus and what does he do afterward?
He betrays him for 30 pieces of silver and then hangs himself.
Why are Judas’ actions after betraying Jesus significant?
Jesus teaches us to seek forgiveness, leading some to believe he’s in hell because he doesn’t seek forgiveness.
Who is Pilate?
A governor.
What does Jesus do during his trial?
Only replies to Pilate and doesn’t deny any accusations.
What does Pilate do to try and convince the jury to release Jesus?
He makes the jury choose between the release of Barnabas or Jesus.
Who was Barnabas?
A murderer and revolutionary.
Who convinces Pilate to remove himself from Jesus’ trial?
His wife.
How does Pilate symbolize his removal from Jesus’ trial?
He washes his hands.
