A psychiatric eating disorder charactenized by:
·Recurrent episodes of binge eating,
consuming large amounts of food in a discrete
period,often more than most people would
under similar circumstances.
·Lack of control over-ealing during the
episodes.
·No regular use of compensatory behaviors
(e.g.,vomiting,laxatives,or excessive exercise
unlike in bulimia nervosa.
