People didn’t believe the earth was that old and they believed a higher being placed everything on earth.
What is divergent evolution?
Started as one species but over time became more dissimilar.
What is convergent evolution?
When organisms that aren’t closely related evolve similar features and behaviors.

Darwin’s finches

Bat and insect wings

Birds sing different songs to attract mates.

A group of organisms that can reproduce with each other and make fertile offspring.
