Q

4 key points of Localisation

A

Localisation is the theory that each region of the brain is in charge of specific function and behaviours
Damage to regions of the brain would affect the localised function
An example of localisation is the hippocampus, the hippocampus helps to turn short term memories into long term memories, this is supported by the HM case
Although specific regions of the brain have specific functions, behaviours are unlikely to be strictly localised as the brain is very interconnected
