What is the test for starch?

A
  1. Add a food sample to a test tube.
  2. Add a few drops of iodine.
  3. If starch is present then it’ll turn from orange to blue-black.

  1. Add a food sample to a test tube.
  2. Heat the test tube using a water bath for around 5 minutes.
  3. If glucose is present then it’ll turn from blue to orange/brick red
