Q

characteristics of forests?

A

Most diverse biome on Earth
Over 50% of all known plant and animal species are found in forests
trees help regulate global climate because they absorb energy from the sun
trees recycle water back to the atmosphere, produce oxygen and store carbon
Over 7000 modern medicines and many fruits and nuts come from this biome
