The Black Death is named after the Black Buboes.

What were the symptoms?

A

There were 3 types of plague:

  1. Bubonic = buboes, dark swellings. Death rate 50%
  2. Pneumonic = lungs. Coughing and sneezing blood. Death rate 90%
  3. Sepicaemic = blood stream. Death rate 100%.
