Q

High blood pressure (hypertension)

A
  • 140/90<
  • caused by fever, physical exertion, and anxiety or surprise
  • on long term: strains heart, damaging arteries accelerating atherosclerosis
  • also, enlarged myocardium lead to a weaker heart and flabbier walls

A
  • > 100mmHg
  • result of physical conditioning
  • caused by poor nutrition
