The process by which blood clots.

A hormone primarily produced in the kidneys that regulates the production of red blood cells (erythrocytes)
Ferritin
A form of Iron stored in the liver needed to make new RBCs
Fibrin
A protein that supports coagulation
Haematocrit
The percentage of whole blood volume that is make up of RBCs
Thrombus
A blood clot. A clump or Platelets and protein plugging an injured blood vessel.
Haematologist
A doctor who specialises in researching and treating blood disorders.
Iron
A mineral that is an integral part of Haemoglobin
Vein
A vessel that carries low oxygen blood away from organs and back to heart
