Federal Mission

State Mission

-Tasks are more complex and sophisticated. Work below MAJCOM/HAF levels
-Transition from being technicians to leaders who have broader operational leadership
-Use expertise/experience as well as managerial/leadership skills to convert direction from superiors to mission accomplishment
-Develop AF Institutional competencies, complete PME, 9-Skill, CCAF if not earned yet
Strategic Vision Level
CMSgt’s and some SMSgt’s assigned the HHQ
-Responsible for large Org/sys, deal w/issues requiring inter-organizational cooperation and longer timelines
-Includes SMSgt’s assigned to HHQs
-Develop AF institutional competencies, improve ability to advise senior leaders
-Participate in top-level decision making, draft policies, manage career fields
-Primary focus is strategic leadership/management of the force to meet current/future mission requirements
