Can you use Coast Guard personnel or property for personal or recreational use?
Coast Guard personnel or property including boats and equipment, for any purpose that connotes personal or recreational use is prohibited with the exception of MWR property
Where do you find your crew manning requirements?
It is specified in Part 2 Chapter 2 of Boat Manual Vol. I
CG Reserves is to maintain the competencies to be mobilized to perform 3 prioritized functions, what are they?

CG Aux members may be used in support of any peace time mission at the discretion of the OIC
What are AUX vessels considered when establishing operational limitations?
AUX vessels are considered non-standard platforms and shall never exceed the limits established for non-standard platforms of similar size
Can a AUX vessel operate in the surf?
No, they are prohibited from operating in the surf
Can AUX members have LE Authority?
No, AUX members have no LE Authority
Can AUX members be use to support any of the Coast Guard missions?
At the discretion of the OIC, AUX members may be used
What duty section positions can a AUX member serve?
May serve in any duty section position except those requiring the exercise of general LE powers or direct command authority
Can AUX members serve at and boat crew position?
May serve in any boat crew position except those requiring the exercise of general LE powers or direct command authority, prohibited from being coxn on CG vessels unless the vessel is designated as a AUX facility

Who can be a SERA at your unit?
The SERA can be filled by any E7-E9 reservist in any rating
Who does the SERA report to?

As the OIC, what are your responsibilities with reservist at your unit?
The OIC shall ensure reservist under their authority receive appropriate training and augmentation opportunities and administrative support
How many RSL’s (Reserve Section Leader) should a station have?
At least 1 RSL
What should be signed by each reservist of a boat forces unit stating what is expected of them?
A 3307
Who decides on what a non-standard boat outfit will consist of?
The District Commander
Is a Coxn permitted to leave the boat during any operation
The Coxn is not permitted to leave the boat unless a situation exists onboard the distressed vessel that only the Coxn can perform, if the Coxn can ensure the safety of the unit boat then it may be permissible with consultation with the unit prior to execution
Who authorizes taking passenger underway?
Its at the discretion of the OIC provided the numbers of passengers do not exceed the max safe number of passengers for that boat type and everyone is wearing PFD’s
What shall the Coxn attempt to do prior to taking on a mission when passengers are on board?
If possible, passengers shall disembark prior to proceeding with the mission
Operation and position checks shall not exceed how long?
They shall be established at least every 30 minutes, this time may be reduced due to current conditions that the small boat is experiencing
