BOD Flashcards
(23 cards)
Field water depths ?
40m to 85m
Components of “Honeybee” field development plan (3) ?
- Jackup MODPU
- flexible retrievable export flowline system,
- CALM moored FSO
What is CALM moored ?

Catenary Anchor Leg Mooring System -
Floating buoy anchored to the seabed by catenary chain legs which are secured to anchors or piles.
PLEM
Pipeline End Manifold

MODPU definition ?

- Mobile
- Offshore
- Drilling
- Prodution
- Unit
What will CALM moored FSO storage be replaced by ?

- Relocatable subsea crude oil storage tank
- CALM for mooring of export tankers (during crude oil liftings)
MODPU key drivers (6) ?

- low CAPEX (new build or conversion)
- high residual value (easily separable / one single lift Production Module) - back to MODU
- able to process a range of fluid types/rates/ pressures, gas-oil ratios and water-cuts.
- handle varied metocean, geotechnical and water depth conditions.
- relocated quickly
- operated with minimal crewing.
Export Flow line and PLEM key drivers (2) ?

- quick install/retrieve
- w/o sat diving
CALM Mooring key drivers (4) ?

- quick install/retrieve
- w/o sat diving.
- light-weight,
- low cost
What are the key principles of “Honeybee” field development plan ?
- discovered stranded oilfields (1-8mmbbl)
- sub-economic to reduce uncertainty by drilling further appraisal wells
- produce until commercial threshold reached then move on to another field
What are the unique Innovations of Honeybee model (6) ?
- No WHP - Tensioned Well conductors tied back to the MODPU
- Wells drilled/completed with light weight hydraulic automated DM located on the PM (lower footprint/cost)
- ESPs- lower $ dry trees base case.
- MODPU (DM) able to supt wireline ops / ESP workovers / well abandonment
- On-board storage (MODPU); 20 - 30,000 bbl in hull (maybe in tanks on seabed) for;
- ongoing production during short-term FSO disconnect (Cyclone, FSO swap out).
- continuous ops for ESPs (without need to shut-in wells.
- Proven tech only - min 2 years
Corowa Field

- Best Field, but only 50km from Ningaloo Reef
- Bought from Santos
- 85m
- P10/50/90 = 4/7/12 (potenital 13m upside)
- Non waxy
- to be developed with a single horizontal well
Sage Field

- 67m
- P50 of 1.4m (potential 4m upside)
- Non waxy to be developed using a single well, possibly with multi-laterals
MetOcean Data - status ?
- Metocean complete for the Corowa, Sage and Tusk/Okapi.
- MODPU to be designed for 1/100yr storm
Geotech Data (4) ?
- Not performed.
- Surveys reqd for MODPU and mooring anchor locations once locations confirmed
- Currently using pre-spud survey data
- basically all strongly cemented carbonate sediments
What is the Design Life (4) ?
- 5 years
- static subsea flexible flowline
- floating marine hoses for CALM and crude oil export
- 10 years
- PM
- DM
- FLET
- CALM Bouy
- 40 years
- JU Hull
- Production Uptime
- 98%
What is RAM Analysis ?
- Reliability,
- Availability
- Maintainability
Predicts asset performance - feeds back to NPV
JU Hull Selection
new or refurb’d ?
Refurb types ?

- Pref new build
- Friede & Goldman JU-2000E
- Zentech R-550D
Producution Module (PM)
Key attributes?
- Located on JU Unit Deck -
- PM+DM assembly to be retracted during MODPU relocation
- PM layout will be revised to have two (2) decks only
Jack Up Unit Hull
What systems does it support (11) ?

- Storage for: Fuel / water / Mud
- Jack up Systems
- Mooring Systems
- Marine Loading Hoses
- Cranes and Hoisting systems
- Helicopter
- Comms / Power / Utility
- Mud Mixing
- Accom
- Safety Equip
- Pollution Fighting Equip
Taunton (4) ?
- Operated by Apache
- Hydra own 15%
- P10/50/90 = 2/5/8
- Apache spent $65m drilling an appraisal well - much data not much data return
Cornea (3) ?
- Was owned by Shell who walked away
- Now owned by Albas
- Hydra currently negotiating for 75% P10/50/90 = 2.5/5.5/9
Outtrim
- Next to Corowa
- Who currently owns ?
- P10/50/90 = ?/3/?
