What is body image?
How you think and feel about your body, including how you perceive yourself in the mirror and the thoughts reflecting that.
What is an eating disorder?
A mental illness that affects an individual’s body weight, shape, and size.
What is binge eating disorder?
Involves consuming excessive amounts of food, usually in short periods of time.
What is anorexia nervosa?
A body image distortion involving an obsession with gaining weight, resulting in starving oneself.
What is bulimia?
A mental illness consisting of recurring binge-eating episodes, followed by self-induced vomiting, fasting, etc.
