The spring equinox is on March 21st, the fall equinox is on September 21st, the winter solstice is on December 21st and the summer solstice is on June 21st. The tilt of the axis causes seasons. The days become longer in the summertime and the nights become shorter in the winter the days become shorter and the nights become longer.
