womens opression acts as functions for capitalism: 1. women reproduce labour force 2. women absorb anger (men angry at workplace exploitation take it out on women so it doesnt get taken out on capitalism and start a revolution, Ansley) 3. women are a reserve army of labour (taken on when needed, e.g. WW2, and let go when men can work again)
