14
Q

what is the function of the trabeculae carneae?

16
Q

why is the RV 3x thinner than the LV?

A

The RV only has to pump nlood to the lungs, the LV pumps blood around he body.

17
Q

how many papillary muscles are found in the RV?

A

three (matches no. cusps in tricuspid valve)

18
Q

describe the LA

A

small, smooth-walled chamber situated wholly posterosuperiorly and forming the base of the heart.
Immediately posterior to it lies the oesophagus. It recieves the right and left pairs of pulmonary veins containing oxygenated blood from the lungs.

19
Q

what internal structures does the LV contain?

A
20
Q

how many papillary muscles are found in the left ventricle?

A

two
