Lungs

A

There are two lungs (the left one being slightly smaller) and are vital to helping you breathe. They are made of elastic tissue that can expand so you can take more oxygen in. Your lungs are delicate and are protected by the Rib Cage.

A

A

Your nose has nostrils so that you can breathe easier (Basically, your nose helps you to breathe more air and make it easier).

Allows you to speak and is your focal point for being able to breathe.

A

A vital part of pushing the air back out of your body (it does this by pushing up).

Heart

A

This is a vital organ in your body which is protected by the rib cage. The heart pumps blood around your body so your muscles can function properly.

A

Basically little branches that send air through to/in the lungs.

A

This is basically a pipe that travels down to the Bronchiole. It has rings of cartilage to keep it open (wide enough).

Bronchiole

A

These are practically smaller versions of the Bronchus but just lead off further into the lung.

A

These are ting air sacs in the lungs which help out with the gaseous exchange.
