Q

Why is community engagement important?

A

Less people will decide to leave the area if the regeneration is in their interest

Residents are more likely to be happy with where they live if the council allows them to vote on what they want

Q

What were the problems with Broadwater Farm?

A

Consists of 12 concrete block flats which had design faults, lack of amenities, and high crime

This resulted in a long transfer housing list as people wanted to move out of the area

Those on housing waiting lists were also refusing to be moved into there
