A

poor speech repetition
due to damage in parietal lobe in the brain
they have intact auditory comprehension and speech production

wernickes deficits= spoken word recognition

A

recognition is perceptual, you can recognise a word without knowing its meaning. damage to recognition is called pure word deafness and is caused by damage to the left temporal lobe

caused by damage to the posterior language area
this area links to transcortical sensory aphasia= people can repeat words so recognise words but dont know the meaning of the words they are repeating
