- Influenza A and B.

- drink plenty of water/fluids
- get plenty of rest
- avoid smoking
- inhaled bronchodilator medication
define chronic bronchitis
a chronic, progressive condition
characterized by hyperactivity of the mucus-secreting glands.

- Heavy, long-term cigarette smoking
- Asthma
- Inhalation of irritating chemicals (e.g.
tobacco) - Environmental/air pollutants (dust,
industrial fumes, smoke) - Recurrent respiratory infections

- Productive cough (grey, white or blood-tinged)
