What is the term “Brussels Effect,” and how did it originate?
The EU has one of the biggest market in the world, by consecuence many international companies want to trade in the region.
For avoiding the cost of complying with different regulatory regimes, international companies decided to adapt their practices to the european policies as the standar, even for other world markets.
Proposed by Professor Anu Bradford in Columbia Law School 2012.

How does the EU’s regulatory power influence market competition globally?
The EU since its beginning prohibit anti-competitive agreements, nowadays over
130 juridictions have a domestic competition law. It became one of the most
midespread forms of economic regulation around the globe.
