What is the concept of Dharma
The dharma is the teachings of the Buddha. It included the 3 marks of existence, the four noble truths and noble eightfold path
What are the 3 marks of existence
Anicca, Anatta and Dukkha
What does anicca mean?
Is the idea that nothing ever stays the same
What does Anatta mean?
The belief that we have no permanent self or soul
What does Dukkha mean?
It means suffering
What are the five aggregates?
Physical form(our bodies) Feelings Perceptions(our recognition of what things are) Mental Formations(our thoughts) Awareness(our awareness of things)
What is the main goal of a Buddhist
To become the Buddha which means that you are enlightened

When is the term Buddha given to someone?
When someone has achieved enlightenment
What happened to the Buddha after he saw the four sights?
He decided to leave his life of luxury in his palace and devote his life to meditation
What are they 7 states of suffering?

Explain what tanha is?
Craving(desiring or wanting something)
What is the threefold way?
The eightfold path grouped into the three sections of ethics, meditations and wisdom
What are the threefold way contents?
Ethics(sila): a section of the threefold way that emphasises the importance of skilful action as the basis for spiritual progress.
Meditation(samadhi): a section of the theeefoldway that emphasis the role of meditation in the process of spiritual development.
Wisdom(Panna): A section of the threefold way that deals with Buddhist approaches to understanding the nature of reality

Explain the idea of Buddha-nature.
The idea that everyone has the essence of a Buddha inside them.
What does Bodhisattva mean to Mahayana Buddhists?
Someone who has become enlightened but chooses to remain in the cycle of samsara to help others achieve enlightenment as well.
