Buddhism
the teaching of Buddha that life is permeated with suffering caused by desire, that suffering ceases when desire ceases, and that enlightenment obtained through right conduct and wisdom and meditation releases one from desire and suffering and rebirth

the effects that good or bad actions have on a person’s soul
4 Noble Truths of Buddhism
Four basic beliefs which forms the foundation of Buddhism
1. Everyone suffers.
2. The cause of suffering is desire (greed)
3. To end suffering you must end desire (greed)
4. Follow the Eightfold path

Right view
Knowledge of how life involves suffering and change and the dharma is a way to overcome this
Right Intention
Free your mind of evil
Right Speech
Say nothing to hurt other. Speak kindly & truthfully.
Be careful and truthful in what you say. Do not lie or gossip.
Right Action
The belief we must always act in the right way.
Do not kill, steal, or lie. Be honest.
Right livelihood
Respect life
Earn your living in a way that reflects buddhism, refrain from cheating or hurting
Right effort
Cultivating positive states of mind.
Right Concentration
Training the mind through meditative practices to become calm, develop kindness and gain insight,
Right Mindfulness
Control your thoughts

Samsara
The endless cycle of birth + suffering + death + rebirth.
Reincarnation
the process of the soul lives on after death and returns to life in a new body
