Q

New training recommendation for PF calls during a go around?

A

Don’t pair the calls - “Go-Around, Flaps 20”
Results in negative training, doesn’t help when go around is performed from anything other than final approach.
Recommendation is to say “Go-Around” Push TOGA, PAUSE…… then think what flaps you need and call “Flaps 20…5…..30”

Q

What N1 should you target for stabilized N1 on takeoff, and for how long?

A

Target 40% N1, for no more than 2 seconds as further delays can cause invalid takeoff data.
Note, more important to match and stabilize both engines equally than to hit 40% exactly.

Q

How would you know a NNC opened from the ECL is active?

A

It will be colored either Amber or Red in accordance with the associated EICAS message,
