Define Crémant de Bourgogne
Typically made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, representing about 10% of wines produced in Burgundy. Production more than doubled since the turn of the millennium, averaging around 170,000 hL from 2014 to 2018.
What styles are available for Crémant de Bourgogne?
A range of styles exists, with most white wines made in Brut style. They have medium (+) to high acidity, medium intensity, and fruit flavors ranging from apple and lemon in cooler areas to apricot in warmer areas, along with brioche and/or biscuit autolytic notes.
