- visual (colourful)
- big map
- labelled direction and scale
- easy to spot anomolies
disadvantage of building height method
- hides variations in area
- shading can be misleading
- misleading values (not specific)

advantages of clustering presentation method
- colourful
- pie charts are visual
- proportional symbols can cope with large numbers
- isopleth maps are quick/simple to draw
- location of each site can be clearly identified
disadvantages of clustering presentation method
- proportional symbols aren’t easy to compare accurately
- time consuming to calculate and draw
- proportional symbols can hide info underneath
- isopleth lines only show categories, not actual data
- isopleth lines might not be completely accurate as we have extrapolated the data
