= the amount used or eaten
e.g. As a nation, out AMOUNT of junk food (EATEN) is horrifying.

=a feeling of wanting better treatment or an improved situation
e.g. DISSATISFACTION among junior ranks was rapidly spreading.
There was widespread DISSATISFACTION at/about/over/with the plan.
magistrate
= a person who acts as a judge in a law court that deals with crimes that are less serious
e.g. He will appear before the JUDGE tomorrow.

= to fulfil, satisfy or achieve (conditions/requirements/deadlines)
e.g. We haven’t yet been able to find a house that SATISFIES our needs/requirements.
They will only agree to sign the contract if certain conditions are FULFILLED.

imitate
= to behave in a similar way to someone or something else, or to copy the speech or behaviour, etc. of someone or something
e.g Some of the younger pop bands try to REPLICATE their musical heroes from the past.

= a sudden and great increase
e.g. An unexpected INCREASE IN electrical power caused the computer to crash.
numerous
= many
e.g. We have discussed these plans on MANY occasions.
disturbance
= something that interrupts someone or makes someone feel worried
e.g. Residents are tired of the NOISE caused by the nightclub.
unjustified
= wrong and/or not deserved
e.g. The defendant had supreme and, as it turned out, WRONGFUL confidence in his own judgment.
hilarious
= extremely funny and causing a lot of laughter
e.g. He didn’t like the film at all - I thought it was FUNNY.
