Prophet Ibrahim

A

Allah promised Ibrahim that from his descendants will arise future prophets and they did! Through the lineage of his son Ismael, came the Prophet Muhammed and through the lineage of Is’haaq came the Prophets Musa and Isa (there are others too). This links Prophet Ibrahim to the three monotheistic faiths, hence his honorable title. He sacrificed he’s son Ismail but Allah stop the slaughtering and replaced with a ram . practice eid ul ad-ha WI

A

Lailat al Miraj celebrates the Prophet Muhammad’s nighttime journey from Mecca to Jerusalem, where he then ascended to heaven. While sleeping in the Ka’bah, the sacred shrine of Mecca, Muhammad was visited by the archangels Jibril and Mikal. Muslims should prostrate (bow/pray) to Allah 5 times a day – Salah.
- Wider impact
Some Muslims gather at their local mosque for prayers, while others celebrate at home by telling the story of Muhammad’s journey to children and reciting prayers at night. After prayers, food is served.
