What is the Holy Land?
The place where Jesus was born, lived, died, and resurrected.
What is the Church of the Nativity? And why would it be significant to Christians?
The place in Bethlehem where many Christians believe Jesus was born. It’s significant because it’s where the incarnation happened.
What is Via Dolorosa? And why do some Christians choose to walk the same steps as Jesus?
The act of walking down a path that Jesus took with his cross, from his trial to Golgotha where he was crucified. It’s significant because walking through the same path could make them feel closer to God. Some even walk barefoot.
What is the Church of Holy Sepulchre? Why do you think some people believe this is the most sacred Christian site?
It is the center of Jerusalem and marks the site of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Some people may believe it is the most sacred Christian site because it is the site most connected with Jesus’ resurrection and, therefore the site most connected to salvation.
What is an Apparation?
It is an appearance or vision.
What is intercession?
It’s the act of asking for help in prayer.

Why is Lourdes a popular pilgrimage site?
It’s famous because of St.Bernadette’s 18 apparations of St.Mary, mostly the one where Mary told Bernadette to dig to find a spring that people would bathe in for healing. Causing many sick and disabled people to go on pilgrimage to bathe in the spring.
What is Advent?
It’s a time of preparation.
What is Parousia?
It means ‘Second Comming’ but it refers to the time when it is believed Jesus will return to the world at the end of time to be its judge.
