E - Today 110 denominations, 348 members and represents 500 million Christians
E - Success in numbers from division of Reformation
DISAGREE (Failure)
P - Disagreements of some denominations
E - RCC NOT a member ( RC 50% of Christian pop)
E - Emphasis on Protestant doctrine (exclusive to others?)

P - Consensus of diff denominations
E - RCC prior to 60s forbade association, now participate in programmes
E - Still have work to do it unite
E - Eastern Orthodox as hostile

Some success esp w/ RCC and number, HOWEVER still much improvement to go with RCC and other denominations

Little progress in all this time, unity as impossible
Claim as THE TRADITION// WCC as ‘traditions in dialogue’
All Christians to conform to RCC
Exclusivism to women
DISAGREE
Focus on unity not division of others
Takes time for progress
RCC as more lenient

Progress is slow but doesn’t stop goal of unity
Problem is unity is instant
