Prior to Taxi Notifcation

A

When pre-taxi announcement completed and ready to close MCD, “Good to close” notification sent.

The flight attendant provides the flight crew with the passenger count, secures the cabin, performs all safety duties, and notifies the flight crew with the “THUMBS UP” signal and state “READY TO TAXI”

Prior to Takeoff

A

The flight deck will advise the flight attendant via the PA to be seated for takeoff.

If the cabin is not secure, the flight attendant will advise the flight crew using the interphone of the approximate additional time needed. Once the cabin is secure, the flight attendant must advise the flight crew using the interphone and will state “cabin secure.”

Inflight/After Takeoff

A

The flight attendant may begin cabin duties as conditions permit, but no sooner than 5 minutes after take-off unless otherwise told by PIC.

Upon exiting sterile cockpit passing 18,000 “end of sterile” notification given to F/A

ONE HIGH/LOW CHIME, FLT LIGHT ON THEN OFF (Flight Attendant Phone)

Initial Descent

A

The sterile flight signal will be initiated by the flight deck approximately 10 minutes prior to landing to indicate the beginning of Sterile Flight Deck (ONE HIGH/LOW CHIME). The flight attendant will begin final preparations in the cabin for landing at this time.

Final Approach

A

Alert the flight attendant by stating “Flight Attendant, prepare for landing” over the PA system.

Arrival at Gate and Aircraft is Parked

A

Once the aircraft comes to a complete stop:
- the PIC will turn the seatbelt sign OFF indicating it is safe to release seatbelts and prepare for deplaning.
- The PIC will turn the no smoking sign OFF to indicate both engines are secure and the MCD is safe to open.

A
