Dx: dry heat of lung
King: chuan Bei mu
Cough w/ watery sputum, stuffy nose Slight HA, chills but no sweating, dry throat
Xing Su san
Dx: Externally contracted cool-dry affecting lung
King: xing ren + zi su ye
Productive cough, high fever and severe chills Absence of sweating, pain and stiffness of head and neck Soreness of extremities, focal distension & fullness of chest Nasal congestion
Ren shen Bai du San
Dx: wind-cold-damp + qi xu
King: qiang huo + du huo
Chronic cough
sparse sputum that is difficult to expectorate
SOB,
spontaneous sweating
Sheng Mai San
Dx: lung qi & yin xu; yin collapse (heart)
King: ren shen
Coughing and wheezing with watery copious sputum
Stifling sensation in the chest & diaphragm
SOB marked with relatively labored inhalation and smooth exhalation
Fatigue,
may also have pain/weakness of low back & legs, & edema
Su zi jiang qi tang
Dx: cold above (excess) + cold below (deficiency)
King: Su zi
Coughing with copious white sputum that is easily expectorated
Focal distention & stifling sensation in the chest & diaphragm
Palpitations,
nausea and vomiting,
dizziness
Er Chen tang
Dx: damp phlegm d/t spleen qi deficiency
King: ban xia + ju hong
Cough, wheezing, SOB Difficult to expectorate phlegm Dry mouth & throat, weird sensation in throat Maybe spitting saliva Heat in soles and palms
Mai men dong tang
Dx: heat from stomach deficiency Injuring lung yin (also lung atrophy)
King: Mai dong
Cough with yellow thick phlegm that is difficult to expectorate
Focal distension with full chest & diaphragm
Nausea
Qing qi hua tan tang
Dx: Internal clumping of phlegm heat
King: Dan nan xing
Cough with blood streaked sputum
Wheezing, dry and sore throat
Hot palms and soles,
night sweats
Bai he gu jing wan
Dx: internal dryness of lungs d/t kidney yin xu w/heat
King: Bai he + sheng Di + shu Di
T: Greasy white coat, pale
P: floating, soggy (soft)
Superficial, rapid
Ren Shen Bai du San
Dx: wind-cold-damp + qi xu
King: qiang huo + du huo
T: dry white coat
P: wiry
Xing Su San
Dx: Externally contracted cool-dry affecting lung
King: xing ren + zi su ye
T: red and dry with white coat
P: rapid and thin (thready)
But strong or slippery
Bei mu gua luo San
Dx: dry heat of lung
King: chuan Bei mu
