most often in ppl over age 55
inactivates 6MP
TPMT
procarbazine
treat Hodgkin’s disease and brain tumors
dacarbazine
component of combo therapy for hodgkins lymphoma, also used to treat melanomas and sarcomas
temozolomide
used to treat glioblastoma multiforme
BEP
bleomycin, etoposide, and cisplatin. used to treat testicular cancer
cell cycle specific agents
antimetabolites, topoisomerase inhibitors, antimicrotubule agents, bleomycin
cell cycle non-specific agents
doxorubicin and alkylating agents (cyclophosphamide, carmustine, platinum compounds)
MOPP
mechlorethamine, oncovin (vincristine), procarbazine, and prednisone. used to treat hodgkins lymphoma.
ABVD
Adriamycin (doxorubicin), bleomycin, vinblastine, bacarbazine. used to treat hodgkins lymphoma. works better than MOPP
vemurafenib
BRAF inhibitor used to treat melanomas
must have glutamic acid at the 600th position of BRAF rather than valine to use
most pts become resistant
ipilimuab
prevents binding of B7 to CTLA4
used to treat melanoma
nivolumab
monoclonal ab that binds to PD-1L= prevents it from binding to PD-1
used to treat non-small cell lung cancer, melanoma
amifostine
helps reduce nephrotoxicity of cisplatin
