What is the primary type of gastric cancer?
Adénocarcinome.
What are the risk factors for gastric cancer?
Infection gastrique chronique à Hélicobacter Pylori, tabac, consommation de nitrite et sel (poisson séché).
What are the non-specific clinical signs of gastric cancer?
Douleurs abdominales, hémorragie ferriprive, dysphagie si tumeur proche de la zone d’abouchement de l’oesophage.
What are the late signs of gastric cancer?
Amaigrissement, asthénie, anémie.
What is a key diagnostic method for gastric cancer?
Fibroscopie gastrique avec biopsie sur lésion.
What imaging is mandatory for assessing tumor extension in gastric cancer?
Scanner thoraco-abdomino-pelvien.
What does a tumor indicate in the stomach?
Épaississement de la paroi de l’estomac.
What should be searched for during imaging in gastric cancer?
Adénopathies satellites, métastases hépatiques et à distance, carcinose péritonéale (ascite + masses tissulaires péritonéales).
Is TOGD usually useful in gastric cancer diagnosis?
Le plus souvent inutile.
What is the curative treatment for localized gastric cancer?
Chirurgie d’exérèse.
What is the treatment if there are metastases?
Chimiothérapie.
What is the follow-up procedure after treatment for gastric cancer?
Scanner thoraco-abdomino-pelvien à la recherche de l’apparition de métastases.
What is the 5-year survival rate for gastric cancer?
30 % de survie à 5 ans.
