usually associated with heart damage and most common during MI’s and post cardiac surgery

palpitations and fatigue

light headedness, low blood pressure, chest discomfort, and dyspnea

client is unresponsive, pulse is absent or slow, no blood pressure or close to baseline

ABCD: anticoagulants (heparin), beta-blocker, cardioversion, digoxin
