Atherosclerosis; 90% of abdominal aneurysms are infrarenal

Involves all layers of the vessel; Fusiform and Saccular
What is not damaged in a false aneurysm?
Adventitia

- Rupture of RV or RA

How do you treat an Ascending Thoracic aneurysm?
- Beta blocker, Nitroprusside and Surgery
How do you treat an abdominal aneurysm?
Surgery if its 5 or 6 cm
