The BMI is the body mass index and it is used to assess obesity

Hight and Weight
How do you calculate BMI?
BMI = mass (kg) / Height^2 (m)^2
If a person is overweight, there BMI is…..
between 25kg/m^2
If a person is obese, there BMI is…..
over 30kg/m^2
Why might BMI not be a good way of measuring body fat for a weightlifter with big muscles?
Because their muscles will make their weight higher, so when calculating they may have results of an overweight/obese person but its just their muscles
What is cardiovascular disease the cause of?
Too much fat cushioning the organs
What is another way of measuring body fat?
Waist-to-hip ratio which involves dividing the waist measurement by hip measurement
Why do we want to measure the fat around peoples abdomens?
Because the fat that seems to be most closely related to cardiovascular disease is abdominal fat
