Describe how the features of the capillaries increase the rate of movement of ooxygen out of these blood vessels.
Thin walls- one cell thick dor quicker diffusion
Large network of capillaries which increases surface area- good blood supply and maintains the concentration gradient
What does myogenic mean
Initiates its own contractions with no imput from the CNS.
What is the Double circulatory system
The blood Passes through the heart twice in each circulation
What is closed circulation
The blood remains in the blood vessels at all times
What are the two circulatory systems?
systemic circulatory system (heart body heart) and pulmonary circulatory system (heart lungs heart)
What is the role of the septum
Seperates the right ventricle from the left and prevents the deox blood and oxy blood froom mixing
What do the coronary arteries do?
Supply the cardiac tissue with oxy blood
