Q

Hyaline cartilage: structure (cells and ground substance) and function

A

Cells: Chondrocytes (maintains matrix)
Ground substance: Resilient gel, fine collagen fibres

Function: Covers articular surfaces at joints, reduces friction, absorbs shock

Q

Fibrocartilage: structure (matrix) and function

A
