Q

case 9 - TMJ joint disorder

Tx

A
  • jaw pa. combo of posture at your desk and what we call parafunctional activity - this just basically means bad habits - like clenching your teeth when stressed or grinding your teeth at night. Since this coincides with exam time and extra study and stress causing these bad habit its just putting extra strain on your jaw joint and causing pain. The good news is it should be easily resolved quickly with some manual treatment and some postural correction as well as some strategies for those bad habits.
