A

1953 - steel was mostly public ownership
1980 - Margaret Thatcher closed everything down.
1988 - complete privatisation of steel by thatcher
1992 - u.k had a recession little demand for steel
2007 - Indian Tata bought the only u.k steel left. Nothing really left of u.k steel
2016 - Tata steel announces they err making losses so said they were going to close everything down.
