what does eukaryotic mean
the cell has a nucleus
what does the nucleus do
the nucleus controls the cell and its activities

what does prokaryotic mean
the cell has no nucleus
what does the cell membrane do
it controls what goes in and out of cells and separates one cell from another
what does the cytoplasm do
cytoplasm is the site of cellular reactions
what does the mitochondria do
it is the place where aerobic respiration occurs
what is the cell wall made out of and what does it do
the cell wall is made from cellulose and it supports and protects the cell
what do chloroplasts contain and what do they do
they contain chlorophyll which traps energy transferred from the sun this energy is used for photosynthesis
what does the vacuole do
the vacuole stores cell sap which helps to keep the cell firm and rigid
what do ribosomes do
they are the place where protein synthesis occurs
