what are the causes of sensorineural hearing loss?
damage to the cochlea, hereditary, disease, maternal health, present at birth
what is sensorineural hearing loss
damage to cochlea, can’t distinguish speech from background noise, some tinnitus
what are the causes of conductive hearing loss?
middle ear infections, structural abnormalities (DS), viruses, frequent ear infections
What is conductive hearing loss?
damage to outer/middle ear, moderate loss in one/both ears, exaggerates sound
what is otitis media (OM)?
ear infections
